Pakistan puppet Provincial Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in a clandestine manner promulgated (officially put a law into effect) an ordinance known as The KP Actions (in aid of civil power) Ordinance, 2019. Even when the provincial assembly was in session, the ordinance was issued very secretly and silently by the Provincial Governor on August 5, 2019.
Several Protests at UN Human Rights Conference, Geneva were organized by Pashtun, Baloch, Sindhis, POK, Gilgitis against atrocities and Enforced Disappearances by Pakistan Army. While Pakistan continued its ranting on Indian Kashmir diverting the attention of International Community from its Gross Human Rights abuses in Balochistan, Pashtunistan, Sindh, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) and Gilgit Baltistan.
Human Rights Commissioner writes to Pakistan to stop threats of violence against PTM workers and end Enforced Disappearances
As per the letter “We understand that the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) is a non-violent advocacy effort started by young Pashtuns following the extrajudicial killing of a young un-armed Pashtun man by police in Karachi in early 2018. These young men and women are asking for the ending of military checkpoints and the clearance of landmines in Pashtun areas, and they are calling for accountability for Extrajudicial Killings and Enforced Disappearances committed in the past decades.”
