Pakistan Army committing Extra Judicial Killings

As per reports, Pakistan Army is committing massive Genocide in its Occupied Balochistan. Pakistan Army has launched a massive operation in occupied Balochistan. About a Division of troops along with helicopter gunships are operating in Kohistan, Marri, Kohlu, Sibi & the surrounding area of Tadhi, Shakha & Daho. If International Human Rights Organizations including UN Geneva, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and others do not intervene immediately and send fact finding missions in Balochistan, there is a Catastrophic Human Rights Disaster underway, that cannot be undone.

Noted Journalist Tarek Fatah also tweeted the same “#BREAKING – Pakistan Military launches a massive operation in occupied Balochistan involving thousands of troops. My sources say #Pakistan Army has moved into the #Kohistan Marri #Kohlu areas, #Sibi and the surrounding area of Tadhi, Shakha, Daho deploying helicopter gunships.”

As per another report by The Balochistan Post from Kohlu, Pakistani forces have launched an operation in the Bambur, Tuli and Turkari areas of Kahn, besieging the general population.

During Operation the Army, the blocked mountainous routes, conducted house to house search and banned all types of traffic.

In a Tweet Waris Baluch also shared the information that “Heavy military movement underway in #Kohistan Marri & Dera Bugti suburbs. A massive scale of bloodshed is going to take place in coming day because the Pakistani invading army is backed with gun ship helicopters and artillery. “

Another twitter handle of Kahaan Baloch @KahaanBaloch also shared similar information: “Kohistan Marri: Deadly military offensive are still going on in different areas of Kohistan Marri”

Earlier in another Tweet, Waris Baluch had mentioned, “NEWS ALERT.
Report of massive scale of military offensives by invading Pakistan army, accompanied by Air Force, heavy artillery, moving towards Kohistan Marri regions via Sibi & Barkhan. It is worth mentioning that the army said “NOW OUR ENTIRE FOCUS IS BALOCHISTAN”.

Exclusive Report – Reason for this massive operation

We received an exclusive report from a local source about the ongoing operations. Our source escaped the area where the operation was being conducted and once he reached an area where he had internet access, he provided us the following information. He could not take the pictures or record the video as carrying such images on his mobile phone could land him in trouble.

As per our source, “Pakistan Army is abducting and taking people away in Extra Judicial manner. House to house search is taking place. Male members or families are being blindfolded and taken away by Pakistan Army to unknown places. Women and children are left in destitute with their only bread earners being taken away. There is no hope to all those families if they will ever be able to see their disappeared male members alive.”

As per sources on conditions of anonymity, these operations are a retaliation by Punjabi dominated Pakistan Army for the vast protests witnessed on 14-August 2019, which was celebrated as a Black Day in the entire Balochistan. It is pertinent to mention here that 14-August is celebrated as an Independence Day in Pakistan. However, Balochistan is not Pakistan, hence it was observed as a Black Day. The videos and images of the Black Day on 14-August 2019 showing protests by Baloch people went viral over Twitter and other social media platforms. #BalochistanSolidarityDay and #14AugustBlackDay trended on Twitter on 14-August 2019.

As per our source, these massive protests throughout Balochistan had rattled Punjabi dominated Pakistan and there were demands to crush this growing rebellion among the people. If this rebellion of common people is not crushed now, Balochistan will soon separate from Pakistan and will form an Independent nation. There was a fear among the Pakistan top Military brass that in the event of a war with India, Balochistan Freedom Fighters will stand with India and will annihilate Pakistan Army from entire Balochistan Region and declare Independence. If that would happen, that will be a repeat of 1971 when Bangladesh got Independence from Pakistan.

As per the report received from the local source, Pakistan Army is committing gross human rights abuses as a revenge for Baloch people expressing their desire for freedom. There is no media coverage of these atrocities as all the media is under the control of Pakistan Army and all the news are censored. We have covered about Media censorship in later part of this article.

There is no internet connection in whole of Balochistan barring big cities like Quetta, Loralai, Zhob, Sibi. However, in view of the recent operations, Internet services in these cities are also blocked. Balochistan is situated in the southwest of Pakistan and covers an area of 347,190 square kilometres (134,050 sq mi). Area has vast reserves of Gas and mineral resources. However, Pakistan has plundered Baloch natural resources for the advantage of Punjabi Sunnis. As per national census in 1998, over two-thirds of its population of nearly eight million people live in rural areas. In fact, the rural areas have been deprived of Internet connection in 70 years so that people cannot share their plight with external world. Due to the media blockage no news are coming from the areas of operations.

Article 19; Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Roads have been blocked and barricades erected. People from those areas are not allowed to go  out of those urban areas from the fear that the news of atrocities of Pakistan Army may not reach the outside world. It should be noted that the entire Pakistan ISPR troll machinery is working on raising Indian Kashmir issue and spreading fake videos and raising concerns of Internet blockade in Indian Kashmir.

Kashmir valley is area where Internet is blocked is about 15,948 Square Kilometres in area which is about 15.73% of the total area of union territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh. Internet is blocked only in 15.73% of the area. Compare this with Balochistan with an area of 347,190 square kilometres (134,050 sq mi), an area twenty times that of Kashmir Valley with no Internet services and no media allowed to report. None of the International Media is allowed to go inside this vast area of Balochistan.

There is a fear in Pakistan Army that if the news of Atrocities on Balochistan people will reach to the outside world, the same Human Rights Organizations including UN Geneva whom Pakistan has prompted to raise concerns for Internet Blockage, will turn their guns against Pakistan.

Bigger concern in Pakistan Army is that if the UN and Human Rights Organizations and the International Media is allowed in Balochistan and the truth of over a million people disappearances, the mass graves, selling of people for organ harvesting comes out, the Pakistan Army top brass will be tried in the International Court of Justice for war crimes on people of Balochistan.

In a previous article “EXPOSED: Pakistan Army Doing Organ Harvesting After Enforced Disappearance Of Ethnic Baloch, Pashtuns And Muhajirs” we had exposed how Pakistan Army is committing Genocide of Baloch nationals and selling them for Organ Harvesting.

As per our source all the above are the fears of Pakistan Army. That is the reason why instead of Pakistan Army concentrating its forces on Indian border, they are crushing the freedom movement inside Balochistan.

As per a tweet from @ASJBaloch, “Pakistani Army burning houses of poor villagers in Balochistan. This is not happening for first time, many villages set on fire, many Baloch killed, many kidnapped and the cruel game of Pakistan army is still going on in Balochistan.” He shared the video showing Pakistan Army burning the houses of the villagers.

#BalochistanSolidarityDay and #14AugustBlackDay trended on Twitter on 14-August 2019.

There were huge protests across Balochistan on 14-August 2019. In one of the video we from Balochistan Solidarity Day, we can see people walking over the Pakistan flag and chanting slogans for Azadi (freedom) from Pakistan.

In another video shared, you can hear people in huge numbers chanting slogans, “Down with, Pakistan”, “Gali Gali Nagar Nagar, Allah Nazar Allah Nazar” (In every street, every city, there is Allah Nazar”. Note that Dr. Allah Nazar is running the Balochistan Freedom movement. He has the support of all the young generation in Balochistan. He is the Hero of masses running an armed struggle to free Balochistan from the clutches of Terrorist Nation Pakistan.

In another video, we can see massive rally including Women from Balochistan also joining mass protest on 14-August 2019 chanting the slogans for “Azadi” (freedom)

In another protest on the 14-August 2019, large gathering of people chanted slogans supporting “BLA”, “Gorilla War”, “Azadi” “Azad Balochistan”. Looking at the protests it seems that the desire for Freedom is lit in every person, young, old, men, women, in Balochistan.

Suppression of Free speech and Media Gag in Pakistan

Media in Pakistan is suppressed. Pakistan follows the policy of “shoot the messenger”. 61 journalists have been killed in Pakistan between 1992 and 2019. Their crime, they wrote against the Pakistan Government or Pakistan Army or Pakistan Intelligence Agency ISI.

On July 8, 2019, Military-backed PEMRA took off-air three news channels namely 24News, AbbTak News and Capital News without any prior notice or giving them a hearing, for showing live speech of Maryam Nawaz. Journalism organizations announce country-wide protests in Pakistan in solidarity with Capital TV.

Earlier on June 12, 2019, A new order issued by Pakistan’s media regulatory PEMRA has advised media channels to not air “satirical content” that demeans politicians or individuals associated with law enforcement agencies.

The “advice of airing satirical content” order issued by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on June 12 has advised media houses to carefully select words and gestures while creating content or memes.

“Furthermore, an effective In-House Editorial Committee must also be constituted in order to ensure compliance of PEMRA laws which could sift unwarranted content,” the order declared.

Recently on 9th July, A journalist, Mureed Abbas working with a Pakistan News channel “Bol TV” was killed outside a local café in Khayaban-e-Bukhari area of Karachi.

Earlier, another Journalist Gorhar Wazir was abducted on May 29, 2019 and kept in detention in at a prison in Haripur District without any charges. He was released after a few days on 31-May 2019. He was in North Waziristan while covering the incident and miseries of people after the Pakistan Army attacked the peaceful, non-violent, Gandhinian protesters during a rally of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) and opened fire that killed over 21 civilians and injured over 100.

Letter from European Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to US President Donald Trump

Recently EP Times published an article titled A Call to stop Labeling the Baloch people as Terrorists

Sixteen, cross-party, pan European Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) sent a signed letter to President Trump requesting his intervention in the deteriorating situation in the Pakistani province of Baluchistan. During this week’s European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg, France, the MEPs highlighted the dire situation for the Baloch people stating that “The people of the province have legitimate grievances – they are relatively powerless against the State trying to silence them.”

Members of Congress have also written a letter to Donald Trump, asking him to raise the issue of human rights abuses in Pakistan’s Sindh province.

The letter also criticized Pakistan for taking the United States’ money as assistance and highlighted that the “expected improvements have not occurred”.

Since 2001, the United States has given Pakistan more than $30 billion in various kinds of assistance. The aid was supposed to improve social and economic conditions in Pakistan, as well as promote good governance. The improvements have not occurred, the letter read.

The letter refers to the recent outbreak of HIV Aids in the Sindh province, in which, reckless negligence by using unsafe syringes and needles for blood transfusions, infected at least 681 people, who were tested positive for HIV in one month.

“Of these, 537 were children, including a tragic case of a 16-month-old little girl,” the letter stated.

The letter also highlights the “ongoing human rights abuses” against Hindu and Christian religious minorities in the Sindh province.

Update from Human Rights Activists

As per the human rights activist assisting minorities in Pakistan, Pakistan government has not done any economic development in Balochistan or Pashtunistan (as they call the region), instead Pakistan government has recruited death squads comprising of Islamist Radical extremists, dreaded criminals and Terrorist militia to kill anyone that questions the tyrannical rule of Pakistan Army.

A Tweet showing a dreaded Terrorist Hassni Zakria, a member of Pakistani Army created Death squad to kill Baloch People and burn their villages and rape their women, seen with Pakistan Army officers.

Pakistan Army is abducting, disappearing people, burning villages so that the lands can be freed up and handed over to China for exploiting the natural resources and hydrocarbons from the Baloch areas.

Pakistan Army Committing Genocide -Youth are abducted and disappeared and taken to unknown location

As per the Human Rights Activist over a million civilians have been disappeared by Pakistan Army. There are no records of these abducted civilians with the government as no arrests were shown. People were simply disappeared. No one knows whether these over one million civilians are alive or have been killed or sold for organ harvesting.

Pakistan Army committing Genocide. Entire villages of Baloch People burnt to ashes

There is a lot of criticism of IMF, FATF and its leaders worldwide. Human Rights Activists worldwide are disappointed at IMF loan bailing out a FATF Grey Listed Pakistan without linking the bailout to stopping the enforced disappearance and genocide of the minorities. They are afraid, this money will be diverted by Pakistan to further clamp down on the freedom fighters who want to breakaway from tyrannical rule of Pakistan. Worst impacted will be the minorities in Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh. This immediate financial assistance will fund Pakistan Army operations to further curb the freedom of expression.

Human Rights Abuses in Balochistan

Since 2005, Pakistani human rights organizations have recorded numerous serious human rights violations by security forces, including extrajudicial executions, torture, enforced disappearances, forced displacement, and excessive use of force. According to the Geneva-based Internal Displacement Monitoring Center, violence in 2005 around Dera Bugti district alone displaced around 6,000 people and killed scores. [Reference “Pakistan: Tens of Thousands Displaced by Army Operations Against Insurgent Groups,” Internal Displacement Monitoring Center, October 10, 2006, p. 7] The total number of people displaced from all districts remains unknown, with estimates ranging from tens to hundreds of thousands. After Musharraf’s ouster in 2008, Pakistan’s Interior Ministry estimated that 1,100 Baloch had “disappeared” during his rule. To date, the government has only uncovered the fate of a handful of these people.

The province has historically had a tense relationship with Pakistan’s government, in large part due to issues of provincial autonomy, control of mineral resources and exploration, and a consequent sense of deprivation. Under President Gen. Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan’s military ruler from 1999 until 2008, the situation deteriorated markedly. Two assassination attempts on Musharraf in 2005 and 2006 during visits to Balochistan resulted in a crackdown on Baloch nationalists by armed forces and Military Intelligence (MI), its lead intelligence agency in the province. These operations ultimately led to the killing in August 2006 of influential tribal chieftain Nawab Akbar Bugti and 35 of his close followers.

Baloch Leader Nawab Akbar Bugti and 35 of his close followers were killed

Cases documented by Human Rights Watch show that Pakistan’s security forces, particularly its intelligence agencies, targeted for enforced disappearance ethnic Baloch suspected of involvement in the Baloch nationalist movement. Evidence of a broader campaign by the authorities includes detailed accounts of the released detainees and their relatives, witness accounts describing the circumstances of abductions and the identity of the perpetrators, and admissions by government officials. In a few cases representatives of the intelligence agencies admitted responsibility to the families, or during court hearings. None of the victims, their relatives, or eyewitnesses to the alleged disappearances interviewed by Human Rights Watch blamed armed Baloch groups. Most blamed Pakistan’s intelligence agencies or the paramilitary Frontier Corps.

Abductions were carried out in broad daylight, often in busy public areas, and in the presence of multiple witnesses. Victims were taken away from shops and hotels, public buses, university campuses, homes, and places of work.

Witnesses frequently described the perpetrators as armed men in civilian clothes, usually arriving in one or more four-door pickup trucks. The witnesses typically referred to these assailants as representatives of the “agencies,” a term commonly used to describe the intelligence agencies, including the Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI), and the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

The abductions were carried out by, in the presence of, or with the assistance of uniformed personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC), an Interior Ministry paramilitary force. In a number of cases, police assisted by being present at the scene or securing an area while plainclothes intelligence officers abducted individuals who later “disappeared.”

As per an old report, In all the cases Human Rights Watch documented, even evident members of the security forces did not identify themselves, explain the basis for arrest or where they were taking those apprehended. Often instead they beat the victims and dragged them handcuffed and blindfolded into their vehicles. For example, on July 1, 2010, Shams Baloch, the 49-year-old former mayor of Khuzdar town in Balochistan, was abducted from an ambulance while accompanying his sick mother to a hospital in Quetta, Balochistan’s capital. About an hour after they left Khuzdar, men in Frontier Corps uniforms stopped the ambulance at a checkpoint and ordered Baloch to get out. They proceeded to beat him, while holding others at gunpoint. Four armed men in plain clothes arrived a short time afterwards and took Baloch with them. The police refused to investigate.

Information on the fate of persons subjected to enforced disappearances in Pakistan is scarce. Some of the alleged disappeared are being held in unacknowledged detention in facilities run by the Frontier Corps and the intelligence agencies, such as at the Kuli army cantonment, a military base in Quetta.

Evidence of Extra Judicial Killing by Pakistan Army

Those who the security forces eventually release are frequently reluctant to talk about their experiences for fear of being disappeared again or facing other repercussions. Many have been threatened with retaliation if they discuss who abducted them or reveal that they were tortured in custody. Without exception in the cases Human Rights Watch investigated, released detainees and relatives who were able to obtain information about the disappeared person’s treatment in custody reported torture and ill-treatment. Methods of torture included prolonged beatings, often with sticks or leather belts, hanging detainees upside down, and food and sleep deprivation.

While the problem is widespread, the exact number of enforced disappearances perpetrated in recent years by Pakistan’s security forces remains unknown. Anti-government Baloch nationalists claim thousands of cases.

Video recorded speech of Pakistan Prime Minister before elected, blaming Pakistan Army of committing Genocide using Helicopter Gunships to kill hundreds of Baloch civilians

Yet the government has not kept its promises to address the crisis of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Those responsible for enforced disappearances in the cases documented in this report have not been held accountable. The security forces have continued to behave with the same impunity they enjoyed under the military government of President Gen. Pervez Musharraf. This impunity seems to penetrate the system at all levels: police who refuse to register and investigate disappearance cases, courts that appear unwilling or unable to fully enforce the law against the security forces, intelligence agencies that continue to blatantly ignore court orders, and high-level government officials who talk of the need for accountability yet are unwilling or unable to rein in the security forces. The reality is that security forces controlled by the military, including intelligence agencies and the Frontier Corps, continue to act outside all formal mechanisms of civilian oversight.

In the vast majority of cases we documented, relatives of the disappeared reported the cases to the local police. In most cases the police eventually, often after an order from the Supreme Court, registered the cases. Yet that is where official activity usually ended, as no investigations followed. Police often explicitly told the families that they had no powers to investigate disappearances allegedly committed by the intelligence agencies or Frontier Corps personnel.

Amnesty International calls on the Pakistan government to:

Ensure that all measures are taken to immediately end the practice of enforced disappearance.

Immediately disclose the fate or whereabouts of victims of enforced disappearance to their families.

Either immediately release the victims of enforced disappearance or ensure that they are brought promptly before a judge in a civilian court to rule on the lawfulness of their arrest or detention and whether they should be released.

If people continue to be detained, ensure that they are charged with an internationally recognizable offence and that their rights, including to a fair trial are fully respected.

Consult civil society and families of the disappeared on the draft bill to criminalize enforced disappearance and ensure that the offence is defined in accordance with international law and standards.

Ratify and implement into national law the International Convention for Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, including making declarations, pursuant to Articles 31 and 32 of the Convention, recognizing the competence of the Committee on Enforced Disappearance to receive and consider communications from individuals and states parties.

Ensure that all allegations of enforced disappearance are promptly, thoroughly, effectively, independently and impartially investigated and, where sufficient admissible evidence exists, prosecute those suspected of criminal conduct irrespective of their rank and status or the security agency they are affiliated with through fair trials.

Ensure that the victim families are free to associate with groups working on resolving the issue of enforced disappearances and to peacefully protest in public with fear of reprisal

Ensure all victims, including family members are provided with full and effective reparation to address the harm that they have suffered.

Call for Freedom of Balochistan

Human Rights Activists are questioning, “Will Trump Administration impose sanctions against Human Rights Abuser, Pakistan Army and its high-ranking officers including all the Army Generals who were deployed in Balochistan, for the disappearance of the missing persons and killing them after Organ Harvesting and dumping their bodies in mass graves?”

Human Rights Activists in Balochistan are demanding that the International Human Rights organizations including International Red Cross, United Nations Human Rights Council, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, European Council, Human Rights without Frontiers, should take a stock of this grave situation in Balochistan. They are demanding that these International organizations should set up their offices in Balochistan and immediately intervene. They are requesting that all deaths in Balochistan to be reported to these International Human Rights organizations. They should also exhume the dead bodies and carry out post mortem, where the Pakistan Army has hushed up the burials without letting people see the bodies.

As per the Human Rights Activists in Balochistan, these charges are grave and need to be investigated by International Organizations. Guilty Pakistan Army Officers and Generals should be tried for war crimes in the International Court of Justice and be punished for their crime against humanity. As per the locals, if the Army of the Nation is committing the genocide of Baloch minorities, they have no other alternative than to demand total freedom from the tyrannical rule of Punjabi dominated Pakistan Army. Many family members of the victims of the brutality of Pakistan Army are forced to take up guns and are fighting a war against Pakistan Army for freedom of Balochistan.

As per locals, “Baloch people need total freedom from Pakistan. They want to form an Independent nation. Balochistan is rich in Natural Resources. These will sustain this independent new nation.” As per them, “this vicious circle of exploitation and Human Rights abuse will end only when they get freedom. Till then their freedom struggle will continue.” They requested International community to recognize Balochistan Government in Exile until they get Freedom from Pakistan.

Major Gaurav Arya recently released a video Major Gaurav Arya Joins Baloch & Pashtuns in their Call of Rebellion against Pakistan Army

Major Gaurav Arya called upon all Pashtun, Baloch, Mohajirs and Sindhis in Pakistan Army to leave army and take up arms against tyrannical Pakistan Army

Points to Ponder

Balochistan covers an area of 347,190 square kilometres (134,050 sq mi). Over two-thirds of its population of nearly eight million (as per 1998 census) people live in rural areas. In fact, the rural areas have been deprived of Internet connection in 70 years so that people cannot share their plight with external world. Due to the media blockage no news are coming from the areas of operations where the internet was earlier present but is now blocked.

On the other hand Kashmir valley is area where Internet is blocked is about 15,948 Square Kilometres in area which is about 15.73% of the total area of union territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh. Why Human Rights Organizations are highlighting a smaller area with no internet while ignoring a large 347,190 square kilometres (134,050 sq mi) with no Internet access and records of Persistent Human Rights Abuses by Pakistan Army?

If some Liberals and Radical Islamists including Turkey and Iran are concerned with the conditions of Muslims in Kashmir Valley, they should be happy that Kashmir Muslims are part of India which is a secular nation and has more Muslims in India than any other Islamist Nation in the world. If they are concerned with Human Rights of Muslims, concentrate on Human Rights Abuses of Millions of Muslims in Balochistan, Sindh, Pashtun areas.

Did Iran, Pakistan and Turkey raise any concerns for Human Rights Violations of Uyghur Muslims in China? Why so much politics when it comes to cornering Punjabi Dominated Pakistan?
